ABOUT CONVALT FACTORY 2
WATERTOWN, NEW YORKFactory 2 will be a state-of-the-art solar cell manufacturing facility featuring advanced heterojunction (HJT) technology with a rated capacity of 3.2 GW of solar cell production annually. This facility is designed to support the growing demand for domestically manufactured high-efficiency solar cells, reducing dependence on foreign supply chains.
Expected to be fully operational by Q3 2026, Factory 2 will be one of the largest HJT solar cell manufacturing facilities in the U.S. The first production line is scheduled to come online in Q1 2026, with additional lines ramping up before full-scale operations commence.
Strategically aligned with federal incentives and clean energy initiatives, Factory 2 will play a critical role in expanding U.S. solar manufacturing capacity, enhancing energy security, and driving innovation in renewable energy technology.
